Kari is CEO of Tesco Ireland. Kari joined Tesco in 2002 and is one of Tesco’s most experienced commercial directors. Before joing Tesco Ireland, Kari worked as Commercial Director for Packaged Foods in the UK. Kari has also held a number of senior commercial and marketing roles in the UK and Europe including Director of Brand in Tesco UK’s Customer team.
Chief Operating Officer
Geoff is from Avoca in Wicklow and has worked in Tesco for 25 years having started in the business in 1989. Prior to becoming a Marketing Project Manager in 2000, he was a Store Manager. He progressed to become the Store Operations Manager from 2002-2005 before moving to be Head of Employee Relations. In 2007 Geoff took on the role of Store Director for the Express and Extra format stores. Geoff became Business Change Director in 2010, and in 2012 he also took on the role of Personnel Director. In June 2014, he assumed his current position as Chief Operating Officer.
People & IT Director
Born in Cahersiveen in Kerry, Geraldine joined Tesco in July 2001 as a senior team Fresh Trade Manager. She opened Tralee Square as Lead Manager in January 2003 and Mitchelstown as Store Manager in November 2003. Geraldine was appointed as Store Manager to Killarney Park in May 2004. She was later appointed as Area Manager in March 2008 and then became Store Director in June 2009. In May 2013 she was appointed as Operations Director. Most recently, she was appointed Personnel & IT Director in June 2014. Geraldine has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from UCC.
Born in Waterford, Sarah is the Legal Director for Tesco Ireland. She has been in role for over two years having joined the business in 2012. Prior to joining Tesco, she spent 4 years at Eircom as Director of Commercial Legal Services. Sarah has a LLB from Trinity College Dublin and a LLM from the London School of Ecomomics.
Sheila Gallagher joined Tesco Ireland in October 2015 as Commercial Director. Sheila joined Tesco nearly 17 years ago, starting out as a buyer in Impulse. Since then she has successfully held many leadership roles in fresh, grocery and non-food buying categories as well as being a Director for Corporate Purchasing & Global Business Units. Sheila’s most recent role was as Category Director for Convenience Formats (Express & One Stop) in the UK.
Ruairi Twomey is the Marketing Director at Tesco Ireland. A native of Cork, Ruairi brings considerable global digital, brand and retail experience to Tesco having previously lead Marketing organizations in Canada, Nigeria, New York and most recently in Colorado, USA.
Scott took up the position of Finance Director at Tesco Ireland in July 2017. He has worked for Tesco since 2012 including his most recent role as Customer Finance Director in Tesco UK. Scott brings a wealth of experience to the finance and leadership teams from his various roles across the business.
