Tesco brings two Christmas favourites together with its finest* Gunpowder Gin Infused Salmon
Two Irish favourites are coming together in a unique partnership created by Tesco this Christmas with the launch of its finest* Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin Infused Salmon Side.
Fresh salmon has long been a staple in Irish fridges during the festive season, whether as a light bite on brown bread to offer to callers, or as a side dish for the main Christmas meal. This year, Tesco’s festive salmon offering is elevating this favourite dish beyond the everyday. 100% fresh Atlantic salmon has been handpicked and carefully filleted in Ireland, before being infused with Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin from The Shed Distillery of PJ Rigney in Co Leitrim.
Commenting on the launch, Joe Manning, Fresh Category Director, Tesco Ireland, “Working with Good Fish, we’ve crafted a perfect partnership with Drumshanbo Gunpowder to create a product synonymous with quality and craftsmanship. Combining both partners, the recipe has been tried and tested to ensure that we’ve created a signature fresh, rounded flavourful dish which is sure to be a real centre piece on the dining tables of Ireland this Christmas”.
PJ Rigney, Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin creator, “We’re very proud that in just over two years old, our brand is already available in over 28 international markets and has twice been voted Ireland’s Best Gin at the National Gin & Tonic Fest. We’re delighted to have this new direction for our product and look forward to bringing it to a new audience this Christmas with Tesco.”
This magical combination will be available in Tesco stores nationwide from early December, pricing to be confirmed.
