Tesco Expands Click & Collect Shopping Services in 10 locations across the country
Tesco Ireland today confirmed that it has expanded its Click & Collect services for shoppers across ten different counties during Covid-19. The expanded services will see brand-new collection points and additional slots becoming available for customers across the country.
Tesco grocery home shopping services, whether home delivery or by collection, have seen unprecedented demand during the pandemic, and the company has worked hard to respond to help those customers most in need. To date, measures undertaken have resulted in thousands of additional slots being made available to customers nationwide, through home delivery and now through Click & Collect.
The Click & Collect service, which is free of charge, works in a similar way to home delivery services, where items are ordered online but customers pick up their shopping from a designated collection point in their area at a time that suits them. To use the service, customers simply visit Tesco.ie/ClickandCollect choose the two-hour time slot they want to collect, place the grocery order online and pick-up from the designated point. Customers must also bring their order number and the payment card used to place the order to ensure successful pick-up.
Geoff Byrne, Chief Operating Officer, Tesco Ireland said, “In response to additional customer demand for grocery shopping services during Covid-19, we’re pleased to have been able to make thousands more slots available for grocery home shopping. Now we are increasing the number of Click & Collect slots for customers across the country who prefer the convenience of shopping online in advance and collecting their shopping at a location convenient for them. These additional brand-new and expanded sites, combined with our ‘think before you click’ campaign, will help us make more slots available to deliver shopping to the homes of those who need it most,” he concluded.
