Festive entertaining and gifts made easy under one roof at Tesco
Tesco unveiled a first look at its 2014 Christmas range this week at No. 25 Fitzwilliam Place which was transformed into a winter wonderland. Guests on the night were tempted with delicious festive treats from traditional Irish turkey and flavoursome ham bites to Tesco Finest canapés, festive cheese boards and seasonal baked goods.
Tesco also announced details of its 2014 turkey pre-ordering service that will be available in stores and online from 10th November. Whether you’re looking for the ultimate Christmas showstopper or a simple basted crown, Tesco’s Irish turkey range covers all sizes, budgets and occasions. To pre-order turkeys and ensure peace of mind this Christmas simply complete an order form in your nearest participating Tesco store before 15th December.*
In addition to delicious bites of Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, visitors to the event sampled some of the delicious range of Irish cheeses which will be available at the popular ‘3 for €10’ special offer for Christmas in addition to a number of Irish and European cheese board options.
Seasonal bakery items are in store now including Tesco Finest Christmas puddings available in 227g, 454g and 907g which are produced by Seerys bakery in Carlow and boast a six-month maturation period. New to the seasonal bakery range this year is a selection of bombes including a mouth-watering salted caramel bombe and a Belgian chocolate version.
Available in stores from the end of November, this year’s Tesco range of festive party food includes 51 delicious dishes to tempt friends and family. Whether you’re planning a festive dinner party or looking for nibbles for a casual night-in, Tesco has a number of delicious dishes this Christmas from potato skins loaded with bacon and mature cheddar cheese to brie and cranberry parcels to succulent prawns and delicate souflettes.
The venue was also decked out with samples from the extensive gifting and decoration range at Tesco for Christmas. Tesco has an extensive range of gifting options to cater for every budget this Christmas from pampering gift sets to Christmas jumpers and fashion from F&F to the latest handsets from Tesco Mobile.
Some of this year’s most anticipated toys were showcased including: My Friend Cayla, Teksta T-Rex, Furby Boom Crystal Series, Nerf Demolisher 2-in-1, Transformers stomp n chomp Grimlock, My Monopoly and Disney Frozen dolls.
Additional gifting items include a wide range of new release dvds available from €12.99 including Mrs Brown’s Boys – D’Mother of all movies, The fault in our stars, The Inbetweeners 2, 22 Jump Street, How to train your dragon 2, Guardians of the galaxy, Planes Fire & Rescue and a sing-a-long edition of Frozen to name but a few.
All of the surplus food from the evening was donated via foodcloud to the Whitefriar Community Centre while all toys were donated to Tesco’s Charity of the Year Temple Street Children’s Hospital.

Tesco’s Irish turkey pre-ordering service is easy. Simply complete an order form, available in participating stores from 10th November & follow the following steps:
1.ORDER Complete the order form and bring it to the pre-order location in your chosen store.
2.DEPOSIT A €10 deposit will be required to secure your order. You will then receive a €10
deposit coupon. Keep this coupon as you will need it to ensure that your deposit is deducted at
the checkout when you collect your order.
3.COLLECTION On the date and time allocated, collect your order from the collection point,
signposted in store.
4.PAYMENT Once you have completed your Christmas shopping, go to the checkout. Hand your
€10 deposit coupon to the cashier to get your €10 deposit automatically deducted from the bill.
